The Shameful Case of Khaled El-Masri

America has fought against torture for decades. 

We championed the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which states in Article 5: 

No one shall be subjected to torture or to cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.

How low did we fall so far as a country that we actually participated in such acts of torture? 

How do we make this right?

Should we prosecute CIA agents?

Should we compensate the victims?
